we had slugs like that IN OUR KITCHEN one night when we lived in Lexington--just sitting (hanging?) there on the side of one of the cabinets, 2 or 3 of them, ENORMOUS, and slimy. just came home from a meeting one night and there they were.
that would be a deal breaker for me and where I lived.
WTF was this bitch doing next to our front door? I noticed it in the complete darkness after a night bike ride while P looked for his keys. I don't know where they come from. I stepped on a small one in my flip flops, accidentally, and popped it, which was also quite gross

YIKES!! And the spider too! We have a ton of spiders outside of our house, and they always freak me out.
